Abstract

Abstract

The background of this research by less of interest of young people to study the
music of the traditional ritual accompaniment of Manungkul, Dayak Bakati' Riuk
tribe, Seluas District, Bengkayang Regency. The purpose of this research to
describe the melody of Lentang and the pattern of the Tomba'. The research
method uses descriptive analysis method. The research data was obtained
through observation and interviews with informants. Data collection techniques
using observation techniques, interviews and documentation. Testing the validity
of the data using triangulation techniques, extending the observations increase
the persistence. The data analysis technique used a musicological review. The
results of the study there are 4 types of music, namely Notokng Bande,
Manungkul, Apak and Manungkul Penutup. There are 3 Lentang melodies,
namely Manungkul, Apak and Manungkul Penutup and 3 Tomba' patterns,
namely Manungkul, Apak and Manungkul Penutup. This research is an analysis
of the complete notation, so the researchers recommend that it be set as a patent
game pattern, especially in the traditional ritual accompaniment music of
Manungkul, Dayak Bakati' Riuk, Seluas District, Bengkayang Regency.
