PENGGUNAAN LAHAN GAMBUT UNTUK PERTANIAN BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL DI DESA RASAU JAYA DUA

Local wisdom is implemented by the people of Rasau Jaya Dua Village in carrying out agricultural activities to adapt to the natural conditions where they live. However, until now the procedures for peatland management practices in Rasau Jaya Dua Village have only been passed down to the next generation through oral tradition, so they are prone to shifting and even disappearing. This study aims to determine the application of local wisdom owned by farmers to manage peatland as agriculture in Rasau Jaya Dua Village. The research method used is descriptive in the form of qualitative research. The data sources of this research were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation studies and the data were village images and the results of interviews with farmers, heads of Gapoktan, village officials, and agricultural extension centers in Rasau Jaya Dua Village. The results showed that domination lanuse in Rasau Jaya Dua Village is garden with width 202,4 Ha. Aplication of local wisdom in the use of peatland as agriculture in Rasau Jaya Dua Village was focused into land preparation. Every local wisdom of peat landuse as agricultural until this time still applying in agricultural activities.
