Abstract
This study is to describe whether or not there is a correlation between learning
motivation and interest in learning with student learning outcomes in the thematic learning
of class V Elementary School 16 North Pontianak. The research method used is a
descriptive method in the form of relationship studies by using correlation studies. The
population in this study amounted to 81 students and the samples used were all students of
class V, which amounted to 81 students. The data collection techniques in this research are
direct communication techniques, indirect communication techniques and documentary
study techniques. As for the instrument (data collection tool) of this study in the form of
interviews (interviews), questionnaires (questionnaires) and documents from the theme 1
test. While the results of the theme 1 test of the fifth grade students of the State Elementary
School 16 North Pontianak obtained an average of 89.50 in the "Good" category. Based
on the results of statistical calculations using the multiple correlation formula to calculate
the correlation between learning motivation and interest in learning with student learning
outcomes, it is obtained that rcount is 0.017, while rtable for N = 81 and 5% significance
level of 0.220 means rcount < rtable or 0.017 < 0.220. Based on the results of the study,
the correlation between learning motivation and learning style with student learning
outcomes in the thematic learning of class V Elementary School 16 North Pontianak is in
the very low category.
