Abstract

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the students"™ Learning Styles in Technology-Supported Environments. This study's research participants were thirty second-semester students who were learning by using technology as a supporting tool for learning during this Covid-19 pandemic. This research applied the descriptive qualitative study method. Data were collected from students"™ semi-structured interviews and questionnaires results. The findings showed that student learning styles vary. Visual learning style is the highest frequency with the percentage 35, 7%, with 11 students to apply this style. The second is kinesthetic with the percentage 23, 3%, followed by reading-writing with the percentage 23, 3%. The last with the lowest percentage is audio learning style with the percentage 13, 3% applied by 4 students. Besides, their learning styles were supported different techniques: (1) Visual learners were supported by watching video material on YouTube, ESL video or FluentU (2) Reading-writing learners were supported by Web, Blog, Listen and Write (3) Audio learners were supported by BBC learning, or 5Minutes English (4) Kinesthetic learners were supported by Google meet, zoom. Additionally, the findings also confirmed that students"™ learning styles in Technology-Supported Environments were support by digital learning tools, such as computers and handheld devices, experience, and learning. Technology-Supported Environments also has the ability to change the students"™ Learning Styles by introducing new models of connecting students "™learning styles based on their TechnologySupported Environments.
