Abstract

This study aims to determine the prosocial behavior of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. The problem with this research is how the prosocial behavior of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. The method used in this research is a description method of the form of survey research. The research sample was 41 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. This study uses indirect communication techniques with data collection tools for the form of a questionnaire. Data analysis technique using percentage calculation. The results of the prosocial behavior research show that helping behavior reaches a percentage of 76% with the "Good" category. Sharing behavior in prosocial behavior with a percentage of 76% in the "Good" category. Cooperation behavior in prosocial behavior with a percentage of 75% with the category "Good Enough". The behavior of acting honestly in prosocial behavior with a percentage of 76% in the "Good" category. Giving behavior in prosocial behavior with a percentage of 80% with the category "Good". Thus overall it can be concluded that the prosocial behavior of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya is in the "Good" category.
