Abstract

Abstract

This study focuses on teacher work motivation which is associated with visionary
leadership and principal communication. The purpose of this study was to
determine how the influence of visionary leadership and principal communication
on the teachers work motivation in Junior High School (SMPN) in Kec. Simpang
Hilir, Kab. Kayong Utara. This study uses a quantitative research method with a
descriptive approach and the data collection technique uses a questionnaire as a
data collection tool. The sample of this research is the teachers was taken based on
the determination of a sample of 53 people with the characteristics of having a
minimum service period of two years with ASN status. Data was collected using a
questionnaire technique with a data collection tool in the form of a list of
questionnaires. The instrument composed consists of three variables, namely
visionary leadership, principal communication, and teacher work motivation. In
this case, a questionnaire in the form of questions will be distributed to teachers
and school principals in the district. The data collected was tabulated, then
measured using a Likert scale. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 25
program, then tested for validity, reliability, normality, linearity, and hypothesis
testing.Based on the data analysis, the results of the study concluded that: the
principal's visionary leadership had an influence on the teachers work motivation
by 26.70%,
