ABSTRACT
This research aims to determine the process of planning, implementing,
and evaluating social control at MTS Walisongo Pontianak. It is qualitative
research with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques used are
observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed by the
techniques of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions and
verification. The results show that social control has been implemented and is
well conducted. This control has been carried out by the school, including the
principal, teachers, vice principal of student affairs, picket teachers, and
homeroom teachers to students at school. The social control planning process
carried out by teachers and foundation administrators is to formulate
regulations, ask for approval, and make mutual agreements. The process of
implementing social control for violations of discipline in schools has been
carried out by (1) educating by instilling an understanding of the impact of
violating the school regulations; (2) persuading, such as giving a warning and
provide support to students who violate the regulations; and (3) enforcing by
providing an understanding back and give penalties or sanctions to students
who violate regulations. The evaluation process of social control is carried out
through meetings to discuss and review the implemented regulations or social
controls.
