Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discover cultural tolerance in children of inter-ethnic mixed marriage families in Sintang Regency. This study implemented qualitative research in the form of descriptive research method.. The participants of this research were children from inter-ethnic mixed marriage families in Sintang Regency. The data in this study was collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, the data collection tools used were interview, observation, and documentation guidelines. The analysis in this study is presented in a qualitative descriptive manner using five informants, consisting of children from inter-ethnic mixed marriages in Sintang Regency. The results of this study indicated that there are differences in the attitude of tolerance shown by each child of mixed-married families. The level of tolerance developed by children of intermarried families is influenced by the child's level of education, and the religious background of intermarried families. Meanwhile, the number of family members does not affect the tolerant attitude shown by children.
