Abstract
This study aims to determine the positive and negative attitudes of students in the
learning process of Sociology in Class XI IIS at Talino Ambawang Catholic High
School. The method used is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis.
Sources of data in this study were sociology teachers and students of Class XI IIS
Catholic Senior High School Talino Ambawang. The data is the result of
observations and is supported by the results of interviews with the management
and members. The results showed that the average student's attitude in the
learning process was positive because students actively participated in learning.
The positive attitude of students in the sociology learning process is quite good,
among others, they are happy with learning sociology, getting closer to the
teacher and accepting the learning process. The negative attitude of students in
the sociology learning process is quite good in the form of students' negative
attitudes, including rejection, avoiding and hating. The negative attitude of
students is that during school hours there are still students who are late for class,
there are also students who play cellphones, chat with friends, and sleep during
class hours.
