PENINGKATAN KETERLIBATAN SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MELALUI PENDEKATAN INKUIRI DI KELAS VII SMP

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui pendekatan inkuiri di kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Samalantan Kab. Bengkayang Provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan rancangan penelitian terdiri dari 2 siklus. Dari hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan pada siklus I, rata-rata kelompok untuk aktivitas bertanya siswa pada pembelajaran matematika hanya sebesar 52,63%. Hal ini tergolong rendah, sehingga digunakan pendekatan inkuiri pada siklus II yang rata-rata kelompok untuk aktivitas bertanya siswa menjadi sebesar 81,57%. Terjadi peningkatan aktivitas bertanya siswa sehingga penelitian ini berhasil karena telah mencapai indikator penelitian yaitu lebih dari 65%.

Abstract: This research aims to determine the involvement of students in learning mathematics through inquiry approach in class VII SMP Negeri 1 Samalantan Kab. Bengkayang province of West Borneo. The research method used was action research with the study design consisted of 2 cycles. From the observations made ​​in the first cycle, the average for the group activity asks students to the study of mathematics was only 52.63%. It is quite low, so the approach used in the second cycle of inquiry that the average group activity asks students to be at 81.57%. An increase in activity asks students to study is successful because it has reached a research indicator is more than 65%.
