PROFIL PENYELESAIAN SOAL CERITA MATERI PENJUMLAHAN DAN PENGURANGAN PECAHAN PADA SISWA KELAS VII SMP

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil penyelesaian dan algoritma penyelesaian soal  cerita pada penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan di kelas VII SMP Islamiyah Pontianak. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian deskriptif, subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa. Hasil analisis data mengacu pada langkah-langkah penyelesaian soal cerita menurut polya sebagai berikut: 1) untuk siswa kemampuan atas sudah cukup baik, 2) siswa berkemampuan sedang dan rendah masih kurang. Faktor penyebab kurangnya siswa kemampuan sedang dan kemampuan rendah yaitu: a) guru cendrung memberikan langkah-langkah penyelesaian singkat, dan b) buku sebagai sumber belajar masih kurang.

Abstract: The aims of this research is to find out the profile of solution and algoritma of solution in word problem at quantifying and subtraction of fractions at the Seventh Grade students of SMP Islamiyah Pontianak. The method of this research is descriptive research with the subject of the research are 30 students. The research finding"™s data refers to the steps of solution about word problem according to Polya: 1) for the students with high ability are good enough, 2) for the students with medium ability and low ability are not good enough. The factors that reduce the lack of students' with medium ability and low ability are: a) teachers tend to give a short solution steps, and b) books as learning resources is still lacking.
