KEMAMPUAN PENALARAN MATEMATIS SISWA PADA MATERI SISTEM PERSAMAAN LINEAR DUA VARIABEL KELAS X SMA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal yang disajikan dalam bentuk cerita, gambar dan simbol pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel kelas X di SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 33 orang siswa. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita hanya mencapai 27,27%; kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal gambar mencapai 69,7% dan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal simbol hanya mencapai 18,18%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabelhanya mencapai 56% dari 33 orang siswa sehingga kemampuan siswa dalam bernalar masih kurang baik.

Abstract : This research aims to know the students"™ mathematical reasoning abilities in solving the problem which is presented in word problems, pictures, and symbols on the material oflinear equations in two variables system on class Xin SMA Negeri7 Pontianak. The method of the research was Descriptive Method in form of survey research. The sample of the research was 33 students. The result of the data analysis showed that the abilities of the students"™ mathematical reasoning abilities in solving the problem which was presented in word problems only achieved 27,27 % ; the students"™ mathematical reasoning abilities in solving the problem which was presented in pictures achieved 69,7 %, and the students"™ mathematical reasoning abilities in solving the problem which was presented in symbols only achieved 18,18 %. It showed that the students"™ mathematical reasoning abilities on the material of linear equations in two variables system only reached 56 % from 33 students so that the students"™ abilities in reasoning was not satisfying enough.
