ANALISIS LATAR BELAKANG PENDIDIKAN TENAGA PERPUSTAKAAN TERHADAP KINERJA PELAYANAN DI PERPUSTAKAAN STMIK PONTIANAK

Abstract

This final project is entitled "Analysis of the Educational Background of Librarians on Service Performance at the Pontianak STMIK Library". The purpose of this study is to determine whether the educational background of library staff can influence or not in providing services to users while in the library. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The instruments used in data collection are observation and interviews. The number of informants interviewed were 3 librarian as well as the head of STMIK"™s own library and 4 users. The results of the analysis of this study that the background is not a problem for library staff in carrying out their duties to serve users and the attitude in providing the information desired by users goes well and the users themselves are satisfied with the services provided.
