This study aims to determine the stages of the plot in the novel Abell Keeper of the Coffins by Abell. The theory used in this study is related to the stages of the novel and the plot. This study uses a descriptive method, a form of qualitative research, and uses a structural approach. The research data source is the novel Keeper of the Coffins by Abell. The data collection technique in this research is a documentary study technique. The data in this study are in the form of quotations in the form of words, phrases, sentences containing plot stages. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that: The plot stages in Abell's novel Guardian of the Coffin consist of 5 plot stages, namely story introduction, conflict emergence, conflict escalation, conflict peak, and resolution. The data obtained from the five plots in the novel amounted to 88 data. This research can be applied in learning Indonesian in high school, especially for class XII students in even semesters. Researchers have developed lesson plans using the novel Abell Keeper of the Coffins as a narrative text to achieve basic competencies 3.3 Identifying information in the novel text and 4.3. Constructing the value of story information in the novel text. The researcher hopes that this research can be continued by further researchers to examine other aspects, for example about the characters and characterizations in Abell's Guardian of the Coffin novel.
