Abstract

In this research on the correlation between learning motivation in geography learning and the learning outcomes of class XI social studies students of SMA Negeri 7
Pontianak, it aims to illustrate the relationship. Descriptive method with the
form of relationship studies research (Interrelation studies) using the correlations study research method (Correlations studies) is the method chosen for this study. 104 students were the population studied in this study. Data collection in the research on the
correlation between learning motivation in geography learning and the learning outcomes of class XI social studies students of SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak is communication that is passed
indirectly or using media and documenter study techniques. The media used for this study was in the form of questionnaires and data on students' daily test scores. The results of the study stated
that students' learning motivation in learning geography class XI
social studies at SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak was categorized as
"very good" with a score of 88.37%, while a score of 71.83% was the learning outcome of class XI social studies students of
SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak. The correlation formula for product moments to calculate student learning motivation with learning
outcomes is obtained r count with a score of 0.117, and r table with a score of 0.195 so r calculate < r table or (0.117<0.195).
So the results of the research on the relationship between learning motivation in geography learning and the learning
outcomes of class XI social studies students of SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak are categorized as "very low".
