Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how students who often skip online
learning in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. The method used is descriptive qualitative method. The subjects in this study were PYP and AF subjects. Data collection techniques are direct communication techniques and data collection instruments, namely interviews and documentation studies in the form of class attendance pictures. The results show the characteristics of students who are truant in online learning, namely not participating in online learning activities and not doing the assigned tasks, withdrawing from the environment, and lack of communication. The causative factors are rigid personality, low self-confidence, friendship environment, and family environment. The impact is that the score does not reach the KKM, is unable to work together in study groups, and does not obey school regulations. The role of guidance and counseling for students who are often truant in online learning is to provide responsive services in the form of online individual counseling, collaboration with parents and collaboration with teachers to help alleviate student problems.
