This study aims to analyze the correlation between learning independence and interest in learning with student learning outcomes in thematic learning for class IV Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 3 Pontianak. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a form of correlation study research. The population of this study were all fourth grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 3 Pontianak. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique with a sample of 32 students who were in class IVA Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 3 Pontianak. The results showed that 83.81% of independence was in the good category, 72.9% of interest was in the very good category, and the learning outcomes obtained an average of 82.96. Statistical calculations using the product moment formula, namely independence with learning outcomes obtained rcount 0.483 , interest with learning outcomes obtained rcount 0.284, independence and interest obtained rcount 0.771. For independence and interest with learning outcomes using the double correlation formula, Ryx1x2 was obtained of 0.510 in the medium category. So, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between independence and interest with learning outcomes in thematic learning for class IV Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri 3 Pontianak.
