Abstract

Abstrak: Persepsi peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran bahasa telah ditekankan dalam penelitian dibidang pendidikan karena hal ini dianggap sebagai dasar kemajuan peserta didik. Penelitian ini berhubungan dengan korelasi antara persepsi siswa terhadap pembelajaran bahasa dengan keaktifan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi siswa tentang pembelajaran bahasa dan apakah ada hubungannya dengan keaktifan siswa.Penelitian ini melibatkan 18 anggota Klub Bahasa Inggris di SMK Negeri 3 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa anggota klub bahasa inggris memiliki persepsi yang berbeda terhadap pembelajaran bahasa dan memiliki karakter yang berbeda sehubungan dengan karakteristik siswa aktif. Hasil penelitian membuktikan adanya hubungan antara persepsi tentang pembelajaran dengan keaktifan siswa. Perhitungan dari Uji Korelasi Pearson menunjukkan nilai r antara variable X (persepsi siswa) dan Y (keaktifan siswa) sebesar 0.78. Berdasarkan tabel nilai r pada Uji Korelasi Pearson, nilai ini berada diantara interval 0. 60 "“ 0.80 yang menujukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang kuat antara variable X dan Y.

Abstract: Learners"™ beliefs about language learning has been underlying in educational research because they are considered as fundamental to learners"™ progress. This research deals with the relationship between beliefs about language learning and learners"™ autonomy. The purpose of this research is to describe the students"™ belief about language learning and whether it is in correlation with their learners"™ autonomy. This research involved 18 members of English Club at SMK Negeri 3 Pontianak. The method of this research was descriptive research.The result of the study showed that the members of English Club had different beliefs towards language learning and presented different characteristics of autonomous learners. The finding of the research revealed that there was relationship between beliefs about language learning and learner"™s autonomy. The calculation of Pearson Product Moment showed that "r" value between variable X (learners"™ belief) and Y (learners"™ autonomy) was 0. 78. Based on table of "r" value of Pearson Product Moment, it was in interval 0. 60 "“ 0. 80 that means there was strong correlation between variable X and variable Y.
