KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS SISWA DITINJAU DARI GAYA BELAJAR PADA SMA NEGERI 10 PONTIANAK

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan gaya belajar visual, auditorial dan kinestetik pada materi sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survei. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 36 orang siswa. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis untuk mengungkap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dan angket untuk mengelompokkan siswa berdasarkan gaya belajarnya serta wawancara sebagai tindak lanjut. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa visual berada pada kategori rendah. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa auditorial berada pada kategori rendah. Kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kinestetik berada pada kategori rendah. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 10 Pontianak cenderung berada pada kategori rendah.

Abstract : This research aims to know the mathematical communication abilitiy of the students with visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning style in system of linear equations in two variables material. The method that was used in this research is descriptive method with survey research form. There were 36 students participated as the subject in this research. The instrument of data collecting are written test to reveal the student"™s mathematical communication abilitiy, questionnaire to categorize the students based on their learning style and interview as the follow-up activitiy. The result of data analysis showed that the mathematical communication abilitiy of the student with visual learning style was categorized as low. The mathematical communication abilitiy of the student with auditory learning style was categorized as low. The mathematical communication abilitiy of the student with kinesthetic learning style was categorized as low. It showed that the mathematical communication abilitiy of the students grades X in SMAN 10 Pontianak was tended to be categorized as low.
