Abstract

Abstrak:Penelitianinimenyelidikipenggunaankomik strip untukmeningkatkanpemahamansiswadalammembacateks recount. Penelitianiniadalahsebuahdisain pre experimental dengandisain 1 grup pre-test dan post-test.Pesertadalampenelitianiniadalahkelas XA yang berjumlah 21 siswa.Data penelitiandikumpulkandenganmemberikan 20 soaldalambentukpilihanganda.Data dianalisadenganmenggunakanrumus t-test.Perhitungan t-test menghasilkanperbedaansignifikankeberhasilanmembacapemahamansiswa, dengannilai t-test (9.46) lebihbesardaritabel (2.086) pada level signifikansi 5%. Hasilpenelitianmengindikasikanbahwapenggunaankomik strip menaikkanpemahamansiswadalammembacateks recount.

Abstract:This research investigates the use of comic strip to promote students"™ comprehension of recount text. It is a pre experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test design. The subject is class XA with 21 students. The data were collected by giving 20 multiple choice items. The data were analyzed by t-test formula. The t-test produces significant different of students"™ reading comprehension achievement, with t-test value (9.46) is bigger than table (2.086)on the level of significance 5%.The results indicate that the use of comic strip does promote their comprehension of recount text.
