KONTRIBUSI PRESTASI BELAJAR IPS DAN STATUS SOSIAL EKONOMI ORANG TUA TERHADAP PERILAKU KONSUMSI SISWA SMP

Abstract

ABSTRAK : Tujuan penelitian kontribusi prestasi belajar IPS dan status sosial ekonomi orang tua terhadap perilaku konsumsi siswa SMP Negeri 1 Bengkayang, untuk mengetahui dan menjawab permasalahan perilaku siswa tampak instan, santai, dan konsumtif dalam kegiatan di sekolah. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan populasi dan sampel siswa SMP Negeri 1 Bengkayang. Metode penelitian kuantitatif, analisis statistik dengan analisis regresi linear sederhana dan regresi berganda. Penarikan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling 215 siswa dari populasi 549 siswa. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa prestasi belajar IPS (X₁) mempunyai kontribusi positif terhadap perilaku konsumsi siswa (Y), besarnya kontribusi X₁ terhadap Y adalah 8,3%. Status sosial ekonomi orang tua (X₂) mempunyai kontribusi terhadap perilaku konsumsi siswa (Y), besarnya kontribusi X₂ terhadap Y adalah 9.2%. Dengan demikian besarnya kontribusi secara bersama antara X₁ dan X₂ terhadap Y adalah 17,5 %.

ABSTRACT : The purpose of the research on the contribution of student"™s achievement in IPS lesson and parent"™s social economic status toward the consumptive behavior of students of SMP Negeri 1 Bengkayang is meant to know and to answer the problems of students"™those looks instant, relax and consumptive in school activities. The research was conducted population and sample of SMP Negeri 1 Bengkayang students. The Quantitative method, Statistical analysis with simple regression analysis and multiple regression. With purposive sample method using 215 of 549 students. The result of research proves that the social studies achievement of independent variable (X₁) has significant and positive  contribution towards the student"™s consumption behavior (Y),  X₁ contribution toward Y is 8.3 %. While Parent socio-economic status (X₂) has 9.2% contribution toward students"™ comsumption behavior  (Y). In conclusion,   the contribution of both  X₁ and X₂ all together on Y is 17.5%.
