Abstract: The problem in this study is whether learning to play approach can improve learning outcomes under a volleyball serve in the fifth grade students of SD Negeri 17 Ceremai Kabupaten Sambas. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the approach play can improve learning outcomes under a volleyball serve students. Forms of research used in this research is the Classroom Action Research (CAR). Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles. Where each cycle includes planning, action, observing, and reflecting. Where the research was conducted in 17 primary schools Ceremai Sambas district and the research subjects were all students of class V SD Negeri 17 Ceremai Kabupaten Sambas consisting of 18 people. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. From the results of the service te bottom volleyball, known to the average value of the Pre Implementation of 61.44 while the average value in the first cycle of 72 and on to the second cycle is equal to 80. This suggests that learning to play the approach can improve the results service learning under volleyball at Elementary School fifth grade students 17 Ceremai Kabupaten Sambas.
