Studi Material Sedimen Perairan Pesisir Pantai Sungai Duri Kabupaten Bengkayang

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang klasifikasi jenis dan sebaran material sedimen dasar di perairan pesisir pantai Kecamatan Sungai Duri Kabupaten Bengkayang Propinsi Kalimantan Barat. Data sampel sedimen yang diambil adalah sampel sedimen dasar dari 19 stasiun. Tahapan uji sampel sedimen yang dilakukan, dengan menganalisis berat jenis, proses pengendapan dan analisis jenis ukuran butiran sedimen dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 jenis material yang terkandung dalam setiap sampel yaitu: material pasir, material lanau dan material lempung. Dengan menggunakan klasifikasi USDA (United State of Department Agicultural) diperoleh beberapa klasifikasi khusus, yaitu jenis lanau berlempung, lempung liat berlanau, lempung berliat, lempung berlanau, lempung lanau berpasir, liat berpasir. Hasil pengolahan semua sedimen di setiap lintasan menunjukkan pola sebaran sedimen yang mendominasi. Pada Lintasan 1, sebaran pasir berada pada 4% s.d 30%, sebaran lanau 30% s.d 48% dan sebaran lempung 38% s.d 55%. Pola sebaran pada Lintasan 2, persentase pasir berkisar 13% s.d 69%, lanau 13% s.d 42% dan lempung 18% s.d 45%. Pada Lintasan 3, persentase sebaran pasir berkisar 7% s.d 11%, sebaran lanau 44% s.d 49% dan sebaran lempung 44% s.d 45%. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase tertinggi pada sebaran jenis material pasir berada pada Stasiun 2 Lintasan 2, jenis material lanau pada Stasiun 1 Lintasan 3, jenis material lempung pada Stasiun 2 Lintasan 1 yang tersebar di pesisir pantai muara Sungai Duri Kabupaten Bengkayang.
