Distribusi Salinitas di Estuari Kapuas Kecil

Sirkulasi masuknya air asin kedalam sistem sungai sangat dipengaruhi oleh pasang surut dan parameter fisik sungai. Penelitian ini bertujuan memodelkan distribusi salinitas akibat pengaruh pasang surut serta parameter fisik sungai terhadap jangkauan salinitas di EstuariKapuas Kecil Kalimantan Barat. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan pada tanggal 2 s.d 4 Oktober 2016pada kondisi pasang menuju surut dan surut menuju pasang.Metode yang digunakan dalam analisis data yaitu model statistik regresi linier berganda dengan melihat ukuran kekuatan variabel bebas pasang surut serta parmeter fisik sungai terhadap variabel terikat salinitas. Hasil pengamatan menunjukan bahwa nilai salinitas yang diperoleh berkisar dari 0"° "“ 11"°,dimana nilai salinitas yang terukur pada lapisan permukaan berkisar antara 0 "° "“ 2 "°, pada lapisan tengah antara 1 "° - 4 "° sedangkan pada lapisan dasar antara 3"° "“ 11 "°. Hasil analisis model regresi linier berganda diperolehnilai koefisien determinasi (R square )sebesar51,7%. Nilai tersebut menunjukanbesarnya pengaruh pasang surut, kecepatan arus, kedalaman serta jarak jangkauan terhadap salinitas pada berbagai lapisan, sisanya sebesar (48,3% )dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak ada didalam model
