Karakteristik dan Hubungan Aktivitas Petir Cloud To Ground dengan Curah Hujan (Studi Kasus Kota Pontianak dan Sekitarnya)

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang aktivitas petir dengan curah hujan untuk mengetahui hubungan diantara keduanya. Petir merupakan proses pelepasan muatan listrik yang sangat cepat dan tidak dapat dicegah. Jenis petir Cloud to Ground (CG) merupakan petir yang berdampak langsung terhadap aktivitas manusia. Data petir yang digunakan merupakan data lightning detector dan curah hujan yang berasal dari Stasiun BMKG Supadio dan Stasiun Klimatologi Mempawah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode korelasi Spearman untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kedua variabel. Hasil penelitiannya menunjukkan nilai korelasi tertinggi yaitu pada daerah Stasiun Maritim Pontianak dengan nilai r= 0,417 dan nilai korelasi terendah terjadi pada daerah Segedong dengan nilai r=0.159, nilai korelasi yang rendah menunjukkan bahwa kejadian petir dan curah hujan yang terjadi tidak cenderung lama dan awan-awan konvektif yang tidak menghasilkan hujan lebat dan petir.References
