Profil Tekanan dan Batasan Massa Bintang Relativistik dengan Model Fluida Sempurna

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang profil tekanan bintang relativistik yang diturunkan kembali dengan menyelesaikan persamaan Einstein statik bersimetri bola untuk fluida ideal dengan densitas konstan dalam kondisi kesetimbangan hidrostatik. Penelitian ini menjelaskan profil tekanan dan batasan massa bintang berdasarkan model sederhana dalam konteks Teori Relativitas Umum. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tekanan maksimum terjadi di pusat bintang dan akan menurun seiring bertambahnya jarak radial dari pusat bintang. Ditunjukkan pula bahwa dengan menerapkan syarat analitik pada persamaan profil tekanan akan menghasilkan batasan massa dari sebuah bintang relativistik. Untuk bintang bermassa M dan berjari-jari R batasan ini mensyaratkan bahwa Apabila massa bintang melebihi batasan ini maka tekanan hidrostatik dari bintang tersebut tidak akan mampu mengimbangi tarikan gravitasionalnya sehingga runtuh menjadi objek kompak seperti bintang neutron dan lubang hitam.
