Studi Sensitivitas Aliran Dalam Kanal Terbuka Menggunakan Pendekatan Komputasi Dinamika Fluida Model Turbulen K-Omega

Saluran air terbuka merupakan saluran dengan muka air bebas, salah satu contohnya adalah sungai. Permasalahan yang paling dominan pada sebuah saluran terbuka adalah pendangkalan. Pendangkalan berlebihan dapat memicu terjadinya banjir. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah mengkaji secara numerik proses aliran air dalam kanal terbuka. Kajian dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan komputasi dinamika fluida dengan perangkat lunak OpenFOAM model turbulen RANS k-Omega. Pada tahap validasi, profil distribusi kecepatan air dalam kanal terbuka hasil simulasi telah dibandingkan dengan data acuan. Hasil simulasi memperlihatkan kemiripan pola dengan data acuan, yaitu dengan nilai korelasi terbaik = 0.9935, nilai error terkecil = 0.0151 pada ukuran grid ∆𑥠= ∆y = 0.01 m. Dari hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa aliran air dalam kanal terbuka telah dapat disimulasikan secara numerik menggunakan pendekatan dinamika fluida. Profil kecepatan air dalam kanal terbuka telah menunjukkan kesesuaian dengan konsep fisis yang ada, yaitu kecepatan aliran pada dasar lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan kecepatan air di dekat permukaan.
