Studi Permukaan Bebas dan Kecepatan Gelombang Pada Fenomena Tidal Bore

Penelitian ini mengkaji secara numerik bentuk permukaan bebas (free surface) dan kecepatan tidal bore berdasarkan variasi bilangan Froude. Simulasi dibangun menggunakan perangkat lunak CFD OpenFOAM model turbulensi LES k-equation. Penelitian ini telah membangun 11 simulasi yang menghasilkan bilangan Froude yang bervariasi, yaitu Fr = 1,27 "“ 1,53. Bentuk gelombang dari transisi tidal bore, breaking tidal bore terbentuk saat bilangan Froude tinggi dan undular tidal bore terbentuk jika bilangan Froude rendah. Bilangan Froude juga dipengaruhi oleh kecepatan gelombang tidal bore ð‘‰ð‘ yang berbanding lurus dengan bilangan Fr. Semakin besar nilai Fr maka kecepatan tidal bore ð‘‰ð‘ semakin meningkat.
