Studi Perbandingan Metode Penentuan Intensitas Curah Hujan Berdasarkan Karakteristik Curah Hujan Kalimantan Barat

Intensitas curah hujan yang tinggi dapat mengakibatkan bencana hidrometeorologi seperti banjir. Intensitas hujan tinggi umumnya berlangsung dalam durasi yang singkat. Kejadian banjir yang sering terjadi di Kalimantan Barat akan memberikan dampak yang buruk terhadap kehidupan masyarakat sekitar sehingga diperlukan adanya perbaikan Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) untuk mitigasi dini bencana. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian yaitu mendapatkan metode yang dapat diterapkan untuk menentukan intensitas hujan yang sesuai dengan karakteristik hujan di Kalimantan Barat. Penentuan intensitas curah hujan memerlukan data curah hujan harian maksimum. Metode perhitungan intensitas jangka pendek menggunakan metode Mononobe karena metode ini hanya memerlukan data curah hujan harian maksimum. Perhitungan pendekatan intensitas hujan menggunakan metode Talbot, Sherman dan Ishiguro dengan tujuan menentukan metode intensitas hujan yang paling sesuai. Metode terpilih didasarkan pada nilai perbandingan minimum dengan uji peak-weighted root mean square error dan nilai korelasi maksimum yang ditentukan dengan membandingkan nilai intensitas metode Talbot, Sherman dan Ishiguro dengan metode Mononobe. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kurva IDF (Intensitas, Durasi dan Frekuensi) metode intensitas hujan yang paling sesuai dengan karakteristik curah hujan Kalimantan Barat adalah metode Sherman untuk kala ulang 2, 5, 10, 25, 50 dan 100 tahunan dengan nilai error 0,00 dan nilai korelasi 1,00 untuk delapan stasiun pengamat curah hujan yang ada di Kalimantan Barat.
