Identifikasi Struktur Bawah Permukaan Daerah Panas Bumi dengan Metode Magnetik di Daerah Tarutung Bagian Selatan dan Sekitarnya, Provinsi Sumatra Utara

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang identifikasi struktur bawah permukaan daerah panas bumi melalui pemodelan 2D metode magnetik di daerah Tarutung bagian Selatan dan sekitarnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur lapisan bawah permukaan pada lokasi manifestasi panas bumi di daerah penelitian. Pemodelan 2D dilakukan berdasarkan hasil anomali magnetik regional dan didukung oleh informasi geologi daerah tersebut. Penggunaan metode kontinuasi ke atas pada data anomali magnetik menghasilkan nilai anomali magnetik regional mulai dari -86,7 nT hingga 108,9 nT yang berasosiasi dengan terdapatnya sesar dan mata air panas. Daerah prospek ini didominasi oleh batuan andesit dan aglomerat berasal dari Formasi Gunung Api Toru (Tmvo) dan batuan tufa berasal dari Satuan Tufa Toba (Qvt). Lebih lanjut, pemodelan 2D pada penampang sayatan A-A"™, sayatan B-B"™, sayatan C-C"™, dan sayatan D-D"™ menguatkan hasil interpretasi sebelumnya terkait keberadaan struktur sesar. Terdapat 3 perlapisan batuan untuk setiap profil pada sayatan, yaitu andesit dan aglomerat, cap rock (tufa dan aluvium) sebagai tempat keluarnya air panas, dan zona reservoir yaitu batu pasir. Proses demagnetisasi akibat alterasi hidrotermal ditunjukkan oleh adanya bagian dari daerah penelitian yang memiliki nilai suseptibilitas kecil.References
