Analisis Karakteristik Fisik Sedimen Pesisir Pantai Sebala Kabupaten Natuna

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang karakteristik fisik sedimen pesisir pantai Sebala yang dihubungkan dengan parameter oseanografi dan hutan mangrove di Pantai Sebala. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan ukuran butir sedimen pada pantai bermangrove dengan sedimen pada pantai yang tidak bermangrove. Parameter oseanografi yang dikaji berupa arus laut dan gelombang laut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan arus laut maksimum pada 0,81 m/s dan kecepatan arus laut minimum pada 0,02 m/s. Tinggi gelombang laut maksimum pada 8,35 cm dan minimum pada 1,59 cm. Material sedimen daerah pantai Sebala terdiri dari beberapa ukuran yaitu: ukuran >1,70 mm (krikil); ukuran 0,09 mm s.d 1,70 mm (pasir); dan ukuran <0,09 mm (lempung). Sampel sedimen pada lintasan yang sejajar garis pantai memiliki ukuran butir yang lebih besar seiring dengan bertambahnya jarak dari kawasan hutan mangrove. Material sedimen sekitar hutan mangrove ukuran butir >1,70 mm memiliki persentase volume 4% s.d 10% dan ukuran <0,09 mm memiliki persentase 28% s.d 29%. Material sedimen yang jauh dari hutan mangrove ukuran >1,70 mm memiliki persentase volume 11% s.d 16% dan ukuran <0,09 mm memiliki persentase 25% s.d 27%. Sampel sedimen pada lintasan tegak lurus garis pantai memiliki ukuran butir lebih kecil di sepanjang garis pantai dan memiliki ukuran butir semakin besar seiring bertambahnya kedalaman air laut. Material sedimen di daerah garis pantai dengan ukuran >1,70 mm memiliki persentase volume 6% s.d 10% dan ukuran <0,09 mm memiliki persentase volume 25% s.d 28%. Material sedimen yang jauh dari garis pantai dengan ukuran >1,70 mm memiliki persentase volume 4% s.d 6% dan ukuran <0,09 mm memiliki ukuran persentase volume 28% s.d 31%.
