Pemanfaatan Selulosa Kristalin dari Limbah Serbuk Penggergajian Sebagai Bahan Pengisi pada Komposit Karet Alam/Selulosa Kristalin

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pemanfaatan selulosa kristalin dari limbah serbuk penggergajian sebagai bahan pengisi (filler) pada karet alam dengan memvariasikan konsentrasi selulosa kristalin dalam komposit karet alam/selulosa kristalin yakni 0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, dan 20%. Berdasarkan hasil uji XRD, diperoleh derajat kristalinitas selulosa kristalin sebesar 65% dan berdasarkan hasil uji reologi dan uji tarik komposit, diperoleh kandungan optimum selulosa kristalin dalam komposit adalah 5% dengan nilai viskositas mooney 65 ML.1.(10005"™) dan kekuatan putus 66,6x104 N/m2. Berdasarkan hasil uji tegangan dan regangan, diperoleh nilai modulus elastisitas tertinggi terdapat pada sampel yang tidak mengandung selulosa kristalin yakni 32,9x104 N/m2.
