Stewart's wilt is a disease of corn plants (Zea mays L.) caused by pathogenic bacteria. Stewart's wilt pathogen can infect corn plants (Zea mays L.) during the vegetative period and will develop in the vascular part of the plant, causing damage to plant morphology. Some pathogenic bacteria have morphological characteristics that are specific to a plant disease. This study was conducted to observe the morphological characteristics of bacteria isolated from the leaves of corn (Zea mays L.) with Stewart's wilt symptoms. The research was conducted by descriptive analysis with observation parameters of bacterial colony morphology in the form of shape, elevation, edge, pigment, size and surface texture. Isolation results obtained as many as seven bacterial isolates have different characters. Isolates BJ1, BJ2 and BJ7 have typical characters of the genus Pantoea, isolates BJ3 and BJ4 have similarities with the genus Bacillus, isolates BJ3 ,BJ5 and BJ6 have similar characters with bacteria of the genus Enterobacter.Downloads
