A yard is an area of land around the house, usually planted with various types of food plants such as vegetables, fruit, staple foods, additional foods, drinks and various cooking spices. The aim of this research is to find out the types of garden plants and the parts of the plants used as food by the Dayak Bakati community in Balai Gemuruh Subah Sambas Village, West Kalimantan. This research was conducted from February to April 2024 in Balai Gemuruh Village, Subah Sambas District, West Kalimantan. The method used in this research is a semi-structured interview method with homeowners (respondent) and location determination is carried out using a purposive random sampling method. The results of the research show that garden plants as food were used by the Dayak Bakati community in Balai Gemuruh Village, there were 28 species of food plants and 21 families. The most abundant families are Moraceae, Solanaceae, and Zingiberaceae each with 3 species. The part of the food plant that was widely used is the fruit at 55.26% and the least used is the young stem with a percentage of 2.63%. The informant agreement ratio (RKI) category for the use of cooking spices has the highest ratio of 0.500, the lowest category was fruit with a ratio of 0.1423. Processing garden plants as food is done by boiling, steaming, frying, and consumed directly without processing.Downloads
