Crabs with their activities in foraging and burrowing play an important function in mangrove ecosystems. Mangrove planting in the Sengkubang Village Mangrove area has been carried out since 2018 affecting the diversity of crab species in it. This study was conducted to determine the diversity of crab species and environmental factors that affect the presence of crabs in mangroves. The method used in this study is a survey plot of data analysis with the calculation of diversity index, uniformity index, and dominance index. The research plot was made a total of 9 plots size 5x5m with a distance of 50m along the inside of the stacking stone. Crab catching is done by hand picking and crab traps. Based on the results of the study, three types of crabs, namely Parasesarma lanchesteri, Uca forcipata, and U. perplexa with a diversity value of 0.39 were low. Environmental factors that support the existence of crabs are temperature, salinity, water pH, and soil pH.Downloads
