Abstract

Measurement of anthropometric data is still manual, so it is less efficient if done for large numbers of needs. As a solution, this research has designed a digital anthropometric measurement system using the Object detection "“ shape detect method. This study aimed to design and build a digital anthropometric measurement system with the Object detection method and compare the results between traditional and digital measurements.The data consisted of 31 people and the body dimensions studied were height, shoulder height, elbow height, wrist height, and elbow-to-wrist length. The process begins with the input image in the form of a full-body digital image, then proceeds with the shaping stage, which is a method on digital images to create a shape on the digital image at predetermined coordinates, then enters the object detection stage, namely the procedure for recognizing an object in an image and video. digital. The final stage is the calculation of the system, after being marked by the object detection method, the machine will perform calculations in pixels for the distance of the object and will be converted into cm using a reference point.The object detection method test results obtained an average successive accuracy of 99.66%, 99.44%, 99.47%, 99.17%, 97.86% and an average successive error value of 0.52 cm, 0.77 cm, 0.53 cm, 0.61 cm and 0.59 cm.
