Abstract

Mobile phones are an indispensable part of daily life, particularly when it comes to communication. So far, cellphone charging still depends on electrical energy from generators that come from PLN. The solar parabolic trough is a technology that uses solar energy to turn it into heat in the absorber. Of course, the use of this heat can be incorporated into other technologies, one of which is thermoelectric technology, which is expected to be capable of producing electrical energy for use as cellphone charging during sunlight exposure. The aim of this research is to design and build a cell phone charger with a thermoelectric power source and a solar parabolic trough heater for the thermoelectric hot hand. This study was effective in creating a cell phone charger with a heat source from a solar parabolic trough with an aperture area of 0.15 m2 and 7 thermoelectrics as a power producer.
