ANALISA EFISIENSI WATER TUBE BOILER DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE LANGSUNG

Abstract

Boiler is a vessel that contains water to be heated to produce steam. The efficiency of the boiler is obtained by comparing the actual or actual heat used for the formation of steam from the combustion of fuel. The fuel mixture used in the steam power plant PT. Sentosa Prima Agro is fiber and shell, where the mixture can affect the value of boiler efficiency, boiler efficiency analysis is carried out using the direct method, where data is taken directly from the steam power plant at PT. Sentosa Prima Agro, using a fuel mixture of 70% fiber and 30% shell. This study was conducted to determine the value of boiler efficiency that uses 70% fiber fuel and 30% shell, this research was conducted at PLTU PT. Sentosa Prima Agro with a capacity of 2 MW. Data retrieval was carried out to conduct research, namely taking the boiler logsheet data value for six hours of operation. From the results of research taken every hour for three days, namely on 06, 11, 17 May 2021 for six hours from the initial time of operation, the highest efficiency value is 63.238% and the lowest value is 60.069%. From these results, it is known that the boiler efficiency value always decreases since it starts operating every day, this happens because of the influence of steam flow whose value is always changing, and is influenced by the fuel used always increasing so that the boiler operates less than optimally.
