The increasing number of vehicles causing air pollution is so big, it affects Increased pollution become a global issue to reduce emissions of CO2.On the other hand, in 2016 about a third of Indonesia's fuel consumption was met by imported fuel. The need for energy transfer and new innovations to solve these problems. One solution is electric vehicles because they use environmentally friendly (non-emission) energy. In line with that in the transportation sector, developing vehicles using electric/power hybrids has been regulated in the RUEN and is targeted at 2025 of 2.1 million two-wheeled units and 2,200 four-wheeled units. One of the important components in making a car is the chassis, the chassis serves to support the components and the driver in the car. So that the simulation to determine the safety factor and stress distribution on the chassis is very necessary. The purpose of this study is to determine the value of the safety factor and stress distribution on the chassis. This research uses Finite element analysis (FEA) simulation to determine the value of the simulation of safety factor and stress distribution. In this study, the method used is a literature study to obtain previous references about related research and the finite element method (FEM) which functions to determine the results obtained for the safety factor and stress distribution on the chassis. In this study, the results will be in the form of the value of the safety factor and the value of the stress distribution on the electric car chassis structure of the engineering faculty. The conclusion is the simulation results of the value safety factor and stress distribution.References
