Abstract

The waste generated in oil palm plantations is very large, it is recorded that there is some waste, namely, empty oil palm fruit bunches (EOPFB) and there is liquid waste, which makes this waste used as boiler fuel and some is also used as fertilizer. However, the solution to utilizing the empty palm fruit bunches (EOPFB) is still not enough to overcome such a large accumulation that makes the empty palm oil fruit bunches (EOPFB) a problem because the accumulation requires such a large area of land. The purpose of this research is to find out how much power the test hasimpact andbending with EFB straight fiber composite material using chemicalspotassium permanganate (KMnO4) with a treatment time of 15 minutes and variations in the composition of fiber: powder (40%:60%, 50%:50%, and 60%:40%) the material that has been formed will be testedimpact andbending. The results obtained from testing with pricesimpact the highest value with the composition of fiber: powder (60%: 40%) of 0.1912J/mm2and the smallest value with the priceimpact 0,1292 J/mm2 with composition (40%:60%). While the test resultsbending the highest value with the composition of fiber: powder (60%:40%) of 74.9908 N/mm2then the smallest value with composition (40%:60%) is 41.1771 N/mm2.
