Abstract

The use of rice husk organic waste, empty palm oil bunches and coconut shells as a source of biomass energy will greatly help the limited energy sources in the future, namely by using gasification technology. The purpose of this study was to obtain a comparison of the use of fuel for rice husk, oil palm, and coconut shell to the flame temperature and ignition duration in an updraft type gasification furnace. leapa, and tkks "“ coconut shell. The results of the highest flame temperature test were obtained for coconut shell fuel which was 801 °C, if a combination of the research results was carried out the highest flame temperature was obtained for tkks - coconut shell fuel of 848.4 °C. For the measurement results, the longest initial ignition time was obtained on coconut shell fuel, which was 3.50 minutes and the fastest was obtained on TKKS fuel, which was 0.32 minutes. For the highest burning time obtained by using coconut shell fuel is 53 minutes, then the fastest is obtained by burning tkks which is 28 minutes. , 38 minutes and the fastest is obtained by using rice husk fuel - tkks, which is 0.57. for the highest burning time is obtained by using rice husk-coconut shell fuel which is 67 minutes and the fastest is by fueling rice husks - rice husks is 35 minutes.
