Studi Pengaruh Dan Optimasi Sistem Transmisi Pada Kendaraan Prototype Kelas Motor Listrik Kontes Mobil Hemat Energi (KMHE) Menggunakan Metode Taguchi

The global supply of energy derived from fossil sources, namely oil and natural gas, is diminishing significantly. This fact is reinforced by the ESDM Press Release number 0.28.Pers/04/SJI/2021, projecting that domestic oil production will be depleted within nine years, assuming no discovery of new reserves. Puspresnas and Kemdikbudristek play a key role in fostering innovations in energy conservation for vehicles through the organization of the Energy-Efficient Car Contest (KMHE), which focuses on the design and production of environmentally friendly vehicles. The design of the transmission system aims to achieve an optimal transmission, producing a car speed of 30 km/h, and understanding the influence of factors on the car's speed. This research utilizes the Taguchi method and ANOVA analysis with four factors: sprocket ratio (A), transmission distance (B), driver's weight (C), and motor rotational speed (D), each categorized into three different levels. The optimal speed result is observed in the fourth experiment, with a speed of 30.333 km/h, and the influencing factors are identified as B and C due to the f-ratio values exceeding the f-table. Based on the speed results, the optimal combination is represented by A2 (sprocket ratio of 27:43), B1 (transmission distance of 40 cm), C2 (driver's weight of 55 kg), and D3 (motor rotational speed of 450 rpm). ANOVA analysis confirms that factors B and C have a more significant influence, as evidenced by their ranking in positions 1 and 2, followed by factors D and A in positions 3 and 4.
