Rancang Bangun Sistem Penjernihan Air Gambut Otomatis Menggunakan Metode Elektrokoagulasi Berbasis Internet Of Things (IOT)

Based on data from the Directorate of Peatland Damage Control, Ministry of Environment and Forestry, the extent of peatland in West Kalimantan reaches 2,801,447 hectares, or 33% of the total land area in West Kalimantan. Therefore, one of the abundant water sources in West Kalimantan is peat water. Peat water is groundwater characterized by a reddish-brown color, high acidity, low turbidity, low suspended particle content, and low cation content. This research aims to treat 17 liters of peat water into clean water using the electrocoagulation method, combined with an automated system to meet the standards of clean water according to the regulations of the Indonesian Ministry of Health No. 32 of 2017 regarding Environmental Health Standards and Health Requirements for Water for Hygiene and Sanitation, Swimming Pools, Aqua Solutions, and Public Baths. The designed system utilizes Arduino Uno and ESP32 Devkit as controllers, and the test results are displayed on the BLYNK application and a 20 X 4 LCD, showing four measured parameters: temperature, pH, turbidity, and TDS. From the conducted tests, the obtained parameter values meet the standards for clean water according to the clean water quality standards with a temperature of 26.18 °C, pH of 7.76, turbidity of 3.10 NTU, and TDS of 394.54 ppm.
