ANALISIS QUALITY OF SERVICE (QOS) PADA JARINGAN INTERNET (STUDI KASUS : FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS TANJUNGPURA)

Quality of service is the
ability of a network to provide better service
to serve network traffic that passing through
it. From the results of a survey conducted by
taking a sample of the 2040 Quality of
Service (QoS) for 16 days, the Internet
network at the Faculty of Medicine,
University of Tanjungpura get value of 2.33
at SSID Hotspot_FK and 2.53 at SSID
Hotspot_FK2 with a standard category Fair
in Telecommunications and Internet
Protocol Harmonization Over Networks
(TIPHON). For the average Download
Speed on SSID Hotspot_FK amounted to
252.53 Mbps and 871.71 Mbps for SSID
Hotspot_FK2. As for the average Upload
Speed on SSID Hotspot_FK amounted to
99.19 Mbps and 372.55 Mbps for SSID
Hotspot_FK2. Applications that used in the
measurement is the command prompt,
wireshark, and google chrome which refers
to the site speedtest.biznetworks.com and
www.pingtest.net. And the measurement
results can indicate the QoS parameter
values consists of packet loss, delay, jitter,
throughput, and mean opinion source.
Factors that could influence the network
QoS is attenuation, distortion, noise and
bandwidth capacity
