Perancangan Game Edukasi Menggunakan Model DGBL-ID Sebagai Media Alternatif Dalam Pembelajaran Vocabulary Bahasa Inggris

Bagi pengembang game independen, kemampuan menggunakan game engine sangat diperlukan. Mereka perlu menguasai pemrograman Visual Novel, yaitu sebuah metode bercerita dalam bentuk ilustrasi visual baik konten dan medianya disajikan pada media digital. Salah satu engine tersebut yaitu Ren"™Py. Dengan menggunakan aplikasi engine Ren"™Py, game yang dibuat khusus untuk anak-anak berusia 6-12 tahun akan lebih mudah dalam mempelajari Vocabulary Bahasa Inggris. Hal ini dikarenakan dalam dunia yang modern seperti ini, pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris lebih diutamakan dalam prospek dunia kerja di masa yang akan datang. Pengujian pembuatan game ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode blackbox dan untuk kuisioner telah diuji validitasnya menggunakan Likert"™s Summated Rating (LSR) dilihat dari nilai akhir pre-test dan post-test. Berdasarkan pengujian yang sudah dilakukan, game ini dinilai cukup berhasil dalam memenuhi kebutuhan anak-anak dalam mempelajari Bahasa Inggris.
