Abstract

Strategic planning of urban areas such as
development planning is an important thing to be
considered by the government and relevant
stakeholders in carrying out the construction of
the city of Pontianak. Management activities and
geographical mapping that includes profiles,

smallest areas. Results of analysis can identifying
the possibility of development system that
organized in the form of manipulation of maps in
the current system and provide an alternative
recommendation at the level of input, process and
output. Spatial Knowledge Management area of
Green and Open Space-Based on Geographic
Information System is designed to facilitate the
implementation of development in the form of
manipulation of maps inside the system and to
analyze the data into processing information. In
addition the system is designed to be a
management tool in decision making for the
implementation of development activities in the
city of Pontianak. The output of the system are the
consolidated graphs, maps and neighborhood area
planning recommendations generated when the
user is manipulating the map with the knowledge
based which has been designed on the system. The
