SISTEM PENENTUAN POTENSI KELAYAKAN LOKASI PENDIRIAN TOWER DENGAN METODE PROFILE MATCHING (STUDI KASUS : KOTA PONTIANAK)

Abstract - The development of
communication technology in Indonesia,
especially in urban areas encouraging the
development of telecommunications support
facilities. One of them is a telecommunications
tower that is commonly called the tower.
DISHUBKOMINFO is a government
department that has the authority to handle the
affairs of the establishment permit of tower. This
study aims to create a system that able to assist
the Department in making decisions to
determine the potential feasibility of the location
in establishing tower in Pontianak as a control
of building arrangement. In the process of of
analysis, this study uses the Profile Matching as
the method and using the criteria of land use,
population density and the attitude of the
recipient as a basic criterion in the method. In
the implementation carried out some kind of a
value to each criterion will then be compared
with the value of the profile so that it can be
seen the value of their competence or the socalled gap. The smaller the gap, the resulting
possibility value will be greater, which means it
has a greater chance of being selected to be
recommended in this case as the location of the
establishment of tower. This system was created
as a tool to facilitate the users in managing
tabular data that displayed in the form of a map.
This research resulted in ranking the potential
location to be the place of the establishment the
new of tower.
