Abstract
Armed conflict always occurs in human life, at any time and at any time. To achieve the objectives in an armed conflict, all efforts and means will be used by the parties. One of them is in terms of personnel the presence of mercenaries (mercenaries). The presence of mercenaries is generally due to armed conflicts,
especially in third world countries which are usually always related to political issues. This paper is to find out the implications of the existence of mercenaries on the fragility of international peace-building. The distribution of mercenaries in various armed conflicts can have implications that the existence of mercenaries can threaten world peace.
Abstrak
Konflik bersenjata selalu terjadi dalam kehidupan manusia, di saat manapun dan kapanpun. Untuk mencapai tujuan dalam konflik bersenjata, maka segala daya upaya dan cara akan dipergunakan oleh para pihak. Salah satunya dalam hal personel hadirnya tentara bayaran (mercenary). Hadirnya tentara bayaran
(mercenary) umumnya karena adanya konflik-konflik bersenjata terutama di negara dunia ketiga yang biasanya selalu berkaitan dalam masalah politik. Tulisan ini untuk mengetahui implikasi keberadaan tentara bayaran (mercenary) terhadap kerapuhan bangunan perdamaian (peace-building) internasional. Sebaran tentara bayaran (mercenary) pada berbagai konflik bersenjata maka dapat berimplikasi bahwa keberadaan tentara bayaran (mercenary) dapat mengancam perdamaian dunia.
