Improving Students"™ Vocabulary Mastery Using The Game Method in SMPN 4 Ketapang

The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in vocabulary of VII A grade students of State Junior High School 4 Ketapang (SMPN 4) Ketapang using the Game method. The form of research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). Data collection techniques used test techniques in the form of written tests. The data collection instrument used a question sheet. Data analysis used interactive model qualitative data analysis (Miles & Huberman), which includes: data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The results showed that learning with the came method can improve students' vocabulary. In general, the more repetition of students will remember the more vocabulary mastery (the highest increase reached 76.15%) if repetition was only done once in each meeting, as did in Cycle II (the highest increase reached 86.00%). This study concluded that learning with the game method can increase the vocabulary of VIIA grade students in SMPN 4 Ketapang.
