Abstract

Robyn Meredith, seorang wartawati periah berbagai penghargaan, seorang jurnalis veteran dan editor senior di Asia untuk majalah Forbes. Dia tinggal di Hong Kong dan meliput India dan Cina. Selama di Forbes Robyn Meredith pernah menulis laporan tentang General Motor, Kodak, Microsoft, Philips, Toyota, Ratan Tata, Li dan Fung dan Infosys. Dalam buku ini "The Elephant and the Dragon", Robyn Meredith melaporkan kekuatan pertumbuhan ekonomi India dan Cina. India dan Cina merupakan Negara di Asia yang "dulunya" dimasukan dalam peringkat "dunia ketiga atau negara sedang berkembang". Kini mereka menyandang gelar sebagai "raksasa dunia". Pertumbuhan ekonomi yang meroket, menyebakan kedua Negara ini dinobatkan sebagai "raksasa dunia".
